14k Triangular Opal Pendant

As one of our rough Opals was being polished, a triangular honeycomb-like pattern began to emerge. We decided to cut the Opal in the shape of a triangle to complement that rare pattern and the final result is this beautiful gem. This stone's body color is a warm blue-green (mint) and has a gorgeous play of color that rolls across the "honeycomb" pattern creating a kaleidoscope of hues - red, green, yellow, orange, and blue - shimmer and radiate as light reflects upon it. Hold it at the right angle, and you’ll also catch a glimmer of turquoise.

From Ethiopia’s Wollo region, these opals are cut and polished by local artisans, preserving both the livelihood of the community and the integrity of the stone. Each stone is left untreated, as created by the earth and is chosen with the utmost discernment.
